Feb 2026

Gilby Clarke, the legendary American singer and guitarist with a past in Guns N' Roses and a thirty-year solo career, returns to Italy in February for a three-date mini-tour in Rome (Friday the 20th), Legnago (Saturday the 21st), and Pinerolo (Sunday the 22nd).

Three dates will offer a thrilling, old-school live show where the only protagonist will be rock 'n' roll—the real, honest, street-level kind.

The connection between Italy and Gilby Clarke is made possible by a recently proven essential element: Wardogs.

After accompanying him on his latest tours in Italy (2023 and 2024), and also supporting him across the Channel, the official Italian Ramones tribute band will also be with the former Guns N' Roses guitarist on their February dates across the country.

We are waiting for you all, absolutely everyone, it's an unmissable opportunity!!!

Dec 2024

Mark Leadon, journalist, author, and Ramones fan, has published the book CRETIN FAMILY - A History of the Ramones Through Their Tribute Bands Worldwide, published by Amazon. It is available in both physical and Kindle formats and features a comprehensive section on the Wardogs starting on page 327.

These are the liner notes:

'Formed in 1974 in Forest Hills, New York, The Ramones were one of the most influential bands in punk rock history. Famed for their dirty sneakers, knee-holed jeans, T-shirts, black leather jackets, and cries of “1, 2, 3, 4,” the pioneering 'Brudders' left a legacy few contemporaries can match with their stripped-down, hyper-paced style. Their 1976 debut album set the foundation for punk rock, inspiring countless musicians to start their own bands. "Cretin Family" not only traces the band's history—covering their formation, record releases, tours, disagreements, and line-up changes up to their 1996 break-up—but also examines the numerous tribute bands worldwide that pay homage to the Ramones. This manuscript draws from global sources, offering facts about The Ramones' tours and local venues, highlighting information often lost to fans. As the stories unfold, new narratives about the group emerge, revealing the Ramones' colossal legacy.

Following the single "Pet Sematary/I Don't Want To Grow Up," recorded with Marky Ramone and Andrea Rock, Maninalto Records has released a new single, "Chinese Rock," a collaboration with legendary Guns 'n' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke.

It's a tremendous privilege to have recorded this Ramones classic with Gilby Clarke.

Once again, Marino De Angeli, a renowned producer and close friend of the band, sits behind the mixing desk. The recordings were made in Treviso and Los Angeles at Gilby Clarke's studio.

The single's B-side features six live tracks recorded during the 2022 Italian tour with Jiro.

As with Pet Semary, the chosen release format is a limited-edition 12" vinyl, which will be presented in Treviso during the 50th Ramomes Anniversary at the Home Club.

It will subsequently be available digitally on all major music platforms.

A meet & greet with Gilby Clarke will be held during the single's presentation.

The MOSRITE GUITAR is the iconic guitar by which Johnny Ramone is identified as a guitarist.

It was his guitar from the first to the last day of his fantastic career with the Ramones, from 1974 to 1996. It was his trademark, and a few years ago, it was sold at auction for $1,000,000.

Besides Johnny Ramone, Mosrite is famous for being the guitar of the legendary California surf band, the Ventures, and for being featured in many psychedelic bands on the West Coast of the United States.

This year, MOSRITE celebrates its 72nd anniversary, continuing to produce instruments highly sought after by musicians including Izzy Stradlin, Jerry Cantrell, Robert Smith, Kurt Cubain, Jiro Okabe, and more.

For its 72nd anniversary, Mosrite has planned celebrations in various parts of the world, including Italy and Austria, with the Jiro Okabe Tour.

The Californian punk rocker, who featured two songs on the Lethal Weapon soundtrack, will be touring with Alex Kane, a guitarist who has played with most of the Los Angeles glam bands, including Marky Ramone and Richie Ramone, and Jamie Oliver, drummer of the historic English band UK Subs.

Supporting the tour will be Wardogs, who previously toured with Jiro in 2022.

These are the dates:

25.10 Arci Tom - Mantua, Italy

26.10 Mattorosso - Montebelluna (TV) - Italy
